THEME: Abandoned building/place
This building used to be a luxury hotel called Des Galleries Hotel, built in 1930. Back in the 1920s, an Arabian named Shaykh Salih bin Abdat was angry because he was rejected to stay at des Indes Hotel, the most luxurious hotel in Batavia just because he was not an Europian. His son went angry too because of that rejection. So he built a brand new luxurious hotel right next to the hotel that rejected his father, and named it Des Galleries Hotel. (Talking about crazy rich!)
The ownership of this hotel has changed for several times, but then left abandoned until now. Meanwhile, the other modern buildings began to appear and the environment is more crowded and busier. Location: Harmoni, Jakarta.

Here is an abandoned train station in the middle of the Atacama Desert in northern Chile.
They look sad and lonely. Seems like they wondering, "Where are the people?"
This is 1 OF MY FAVORITES! CONGRATS! 😃🎉
Thanks! Glad you liked it. =)
So, it was deserted ;)
Haha, might be how this verb comes from... ;)
Absolutely.
Two multi-colored flashlights can add life to the pitch darkness of an abandoned military base.
Wow, this used to be a military base? How can you managed to get inside this place? Did you enter the door that has sign "NO ENTRY"?
1 OF MY FAVORITES! CONGRATS! 😃🎉
Yes, a former military base of the Soviet Union, in the middle of the 20th century there was a submarine base here. Now part of the base is open as a museum, but most of it is closed and abandoned. We climbed over the fence to the closed area and found an entrance there.
The inscription "No entrance" is graffiti. And we definitely went there :)
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Love the colors. The hut is shattered in pieces and almost nothing left.

Hi, Scott. I'm sorry. I got error "Gateway Time-out" when I was doing the tip transaction. I thought my tip was failed, so I send it again (and failed again). Can we chat? Thank you.
No worries. I send it back to you. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you!!!
No, that's all. Thank you, sir. Sorry for the trouble. Have a nice day :)

Kalami in south Crete is a ghost village. Once the home of 600 people it was an admirable, wealthy village and commerce center for the whole region. Nowadays only 9 people live there while the contents of the abandoned houses have been plundered over and over again.
I wrote a post about it here.
Abandoned places are always mana for photographers, I guess. Well, we even did our wedding photos in one :) This is an abandoned hotel and here you can see more about it.
There's nothing last forever, even luxurious hotel...
CONGRATS! IT'S 1 OF MY FAVORITES! 😃🎉
