Yup, we flew through the mountain 🤣

Guess what? I caught the sunrise on a Saturday morning, gearing up super early for an epic ride with some pals. We planned to meet up at that popular BHP Petrol Station after the Genting-Karak Toll. And wow! There were so many riders there gathering! BMW S1K, Ducati, a few touring bikes and man, those exhausts roared the entire place!

By 8:30am, we're was all set and ready to hit the road, making our first pit stop at Genting Sempah's McDonald for a quick bite fueling the empty stomach. The traffic was alright, mostly cars and a few big trailers. The wind was super chilly and my bike isn't the best at shielding me from it! I could feel all the crosswind from every direction. So, it was all about going easy and riding at a comfy pace.

We did have to make another quick stop at a BHP Petrol station cause one of my buddies needed a refuel. And, silly me, I forgot to resume my REVER ridelog which causes a 20km+ missing rides and on the map log, it shows us magically flew over the mountain 😅.

After exiting the highway, we enjoyed the twisty B roads, riding at our own pace towards a charming village called Kampung Manchis. Along the way, we spotted monkeys and fellow bikers, and the air has gotten warmer the further we moved from the mountains. It was my first time in Kampung Manchis. We randomly choose a roadside stall, Seng Kee Wanton Noodle, for a bite and some chit-chat with the locals. Such a serene break from the city hustle!

Feeling all recharged, I took the lead to Kuala Pilah, a quaint town in Negeri Sembilan. Thought I'd have a bit more fun with the corners, testing my bike's limits. You know what they say - practice makes perfect! As we got closer to Kuala Pilah, there was a bit more traffic and we saw a few convoys of big bikes too. Unsure of where to chill, we just rode straight down to Seremban and treated ourselves to Haji Sharrif Cendol. Arrived around 1pm and avoided the lunch rush – bonus! The cendol was a perfect cooldown for a sunny afternoon ride.

We thought of heading to Port Dickson but decided to cut short and ride back to KL. After all, a 300km+ ride is a lot, especially for a newbie like me! Got home around 3pm and noticed a sunburn on my hand. Note to self: Need a jacket with longer sleeves.

Until next time, for more adventure ahead! Thanks for reading
