I left home with my camera today for the first time in nearly a year. Autumn is in full swing so there were plenty photo opps bright and early in the morning even in the dull light. I took a few photos but, to be honest, I'm a little rusty at taking photos. I've got the camera with me all day today so, as long as the battery doesn't die on me, I'll probably get better shots later on when the rusty wheels are oiled, and the light probably improves.
I had breakfast at the pub on my first break. Halloween is in the air, even though it's half a month away. I also saw some Christmas stuff already displayed. Most other establishments are waiting till the day after Halloween to get their Christmas stuff out though.
As someone who does product reviews, I've come to understand the retail cycle very well over the years. You have to go where the attention is to make any money at all. It's no good putting Valentine's Day stuff out during Harvest time. There's a time to everything.
