Yesterday we went to get gas, and like always, there was a line of cars. It was noon. Just picture being stuck in a car at midday in Venezuela—I swear, with every breath I took, it felt like my lungs were turning into a desert. Worst part? I was wearing my work coveralls, but thank goodness I could pull them down to my waist since I had a blouse underneath.
So yeah, it was me, my brother, and my parents, waiting in the car under the blazing sun, basically getting steamed alive because there’s no AC. But somehow, I managed to romanticize the moment and took a few pics—the blue sky and those bright white clouds always lift my mood.
Later, my mom got me an ice cream, and I snapped these selfies to capture that simple joy of eating ice cream on a hot day. Hoping I can hit the beach soon and feel like this heat is actually worth it. Don’t forget to smile—everything passes. Kisses.

Ayer fuimos a echar gasolina y, como de costumbre, había una fila de carros. Eran las 12 pm. Imagínate estar en un carro al mediodía en Venezuela, yo creo que con cada bocanada de aire que tomaba, los pulmones se me convertían en un desierto. Lo peor es que andaba con la braga industrial del trabajo, que gracias a dios me pude al menos bajar a la cintura porque tenía una blusa abajo.
En fin, nos tocó esperar en el carro a mí, mi hermano, y mis padres, a pleno sol, sancochándonos porque no hay aire acondicionado. Pero, de alguna manera, logre romantizar esto y tome algunas fotos, porque el cielo azul con las nubes tan blancas siempre logra hacerme sentir bien.
Luego mi mamá me brindó un helado, y me tomé estas selfies para capturar la simple felicidad de comer un helado en medio de un día caluroso. Espero poder ir a la playa pronto, y al menos sentir que el calor está valiendo la pena. No se olviden de sonreír, todo pasará. Besos.
