It was Holy Week, which meant four days off from work. After we've completed all of the holy week rituals, what better way to spend the rest of the week than climbing a mountain?
We hiked Mt. Mago after our college instructor invited us on a mountain trip with some of our college friends after visiting Mt. Manghilao as part of our holy week repentance. Without a doubt, we signed up for it and responded to the call of nature once again. It was a tiring hike although I agree that the trail is safer, it was still slick and muddy. What I like about this path is that it has a beautiful view of the forest and mountains. For them, the route was simple, but for me, it was a burden because I hadn't exercised in weeks. The burden was made heavier by my backpack, the trail, the sun's harshest rays. On the trail, there was a point where I was completely out of breath. But it was well worth it when we arrived at the beautiful scene of green bushes and bamboo trees. We rested there and one of our colleague climbed the tree and we took some pictures afterwards. We had a great time and we wanted to climb Mt. Mago again one of these days.
