The other day my Filipino colleague prepared and cooked lunch for us. He made some Chinese food and cooked a total of 3 dishes!

We had a pan fried boneless chicken thigh topped with a salty savoury sauce made with onions, garlic, and soy sauce. The chicken had a crispy skin and super tender meat. It paired so wonderfully with the onion and garlic soy sauce with steamed rice.

Another dish he made was stir fried cauliflower topped with Korean chili flakes. The cauliflower was nice and toasted with its natural sweetness coming through and mixed with a little spicy heat from the chili flakes. Absolutely brilliant dish with simple ingredients.

The last dish he made was stir fried baby kailan which he simply seasoned with salt and stir fried with garlic. The stem was tender yet still had a slight crunch and snap to it making it a textural explosion in palate, not to mention super delicious!

We ate all these dishes with rice and it was an especially satisfying meal as it was a very busy day at the kitchen. So wonderful to have a meal prepared for you on a day like that.
