This morning my daughter and I went on a daddy/daughter date to the aquarium. Little did we know that it was going to be field trip day for a lot of elementary school kids as well because this place was packed.

Luckily we have season passes here so it being crowded isn't that big of a deal because we can get in and see what we want and get out. I wanted to test out my new phone's camera while we were there and I have to say, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a really good camera. It is crazy how much better phone cameras have gotten over the past several years. The camera the 13 does a lot better in low light situations than my 12 did.

I was able to get a few really cool shots while I was there. One of my favorites is the shots of the sea anemone and the ones of the sea horses. There are a couple shots of a little sea horse and there are hundreds of newborn sea horses in there as well that just look like tiny specs in the water. It is crazy how tiny these things are when they are born. Sea horses are such odd creatures. They were wrapping their tails around each other to try and stay in place because the current in the water was pushing them around.

One thing I really like about taking photos at aquariums like this is all the different colors that the fish have. It does make me miss the ocean though. I can't wait to go back to Thailand one day and go snorkeling there. My daughter has never been snorkeling before and she would love it. Hopefully we can make it back there soon.

For the best experience view this post on Liketu

EDIT - for some reason the photos weren't showing up outside of Liketu, so I am going to post there below on Peakd.

Fun!

I’m thinking about going there next week.

To the same aquarium?

Yup. I go there at least once a year.

I can see only one photo. don't know whether they don't load on my end or they are broken.

Well that is annoying. Maybe it is something with the nodes on peakd. It is showing just fine on Liketu.

Should be fixed for viewing off of Liketu now.

I simply love aquariums. Zoos are blah but Aquariums are loaded with such amazing and beautiful colors and creatures.

I've been to a few good zoos, but I do agree that aquariums are a lot better.

Dude those pictures are amazing, I can't imagine being in an aquarium like that, I would probably have an anxiety attack because of my thalassophobia, I hope you had a great time with your daughter, greetings!

Thanks man. It is a pretty awesome place. Too bad it is always so crowded.

I also really like the Iphone 13 pro max camera. I lately picked up the S22 Ultra and I think you would also be impressed with the portrait mode on it. There have been some comparisons with the Sony A7iV and it gives it a run for its money!
On the other hand, I think the tools is less important than the operator, and you would probably still take much better photos than a regular person on your phone than they would with an expensive DSLR.

Incredible post! Wow! Those jellyfish looks nice!

Love the vivid colors. Photos with the clownfishes are my favorite. Reminds me of Finding Nemo book we just read.

Very impressive your photorgraphs brother 🔥
