The world needs good-hearted people, because there are many others going through difficult times. Helping others isn't just about financial aid - a hug, a conversation or even a simple gesture can transform someone's life in a profound way.
That's why it's important to practice empathy and solidarity, regardless of who is in need, whether in small or large ways. I know that helping one person doesn't change the whole world, but it certainly makes that person's world lighter and better. And this isn't limited to human beings - animals also deserve care and affection.
On an ordinary weekend, my family and I decided to go to the beach to enjoy a different day and get out of the routine. We arrived at lunchtime and, as soon as we sat down by the sea, a visibly hungry dog approached us. Without thinking twice, I prepared a plate for him - after all, we had plenty of food. As soon as he'd finished eating, I offered him some water, as I know how difficult it is to find drinking water on the beach. He drank it all with great thirst.
This simple gesture of generosity meant that the puppy stayed with us until the end of the afternoon, even after the food ran out. It was his way of showing his gratitude. This was my contribution to the 25th #hivebrphotocontest, whose theme is “Generosity”. I hope you like the picture!

O mundo precisa de pessoas de bom coração, pois há muitas outras passando por momentos difíceis. Ajudar o próximo não se resume apenas à ajuda financeira — um abraço, uma conversa ou até um simples gesto podem transformar a vida de alguém de forma profunda.
Por isso, é importante praticar a empatia e a solidariedade, independentemente de quem esteja precisando, seja em pequenas ou grandes atitudes. Sei que ajudar uma pessoa não muda o mundo inteiro, mas certamente torna o mundo daquela pessoa mais leve e melhor. E isso não se limita aos seres humanos — os animais também merecem cuidado e carinho.
Em um final de semana comum, eu e minha família decidimos ir à praia para aproveitar um dia diferente e sair da rotina. Chegamos na hora do almoço e, assim que nos sentamos à beira-mar, um cachorro visivelmente faminto se aproximou. Sem pensar duas vezes, preparei um prato para ele — afinal, tínhamos comida de sobra. Assim que terminou de comer, ofereci água, pois sei como é difícil encontrar água potável na praia. Ele bebeu tudo com muita sede.
Esse simples gesto de generosidade fez com que o cachorrinho permanecesse conosco até o final da tarde, mesmo depois que a comida acabou. Foi a forma dele demonstrar gratidão. Essa foi a minha contribuição para o 25º #hivebrphotocontest, cujo tema é "Generosidade". Espero que gostem da imagem!
