Hello everyone in the Liketu community,tomorrow June 16 is World Martial Arts Day and I see no better way to honor that day than by exhibiting a mother, wife and martial artist who embodies the spirit of this discipline. Her name is Ariadne. She has been practicing since she was a child. She has participated in many competitions and is now a Documentation Technician at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology where I also work. Some of the postures that you can see in the photos are the Zenkutsu Dachi, Zuri Itsa Hitachi and the Kokutsu Dachi.
Two months ago I had the opportunity to do this girl's hair and makeup and I decided to take some photos of her in action. The photos that I liked the most were used for a hair and makeup promotion for Mother's Day, which allowed me to attract new clients.
Watching martial arts movies has been my passion since childhood. I loved seeing martial artists, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan in each of their films, so it was great to reconnect with that through this project. This girl's dedication and skill are impressive, even though she says she's out of shape. He showed me some combat stances and movements that highlighted the beauty and grace of this art.
Tomorrow June 16, let's remember the values and teachings that are at the heart of martial arts: "discipline, respect, humility and perseverance". We can all learn these principles and apply them to our own lives, whatever our profession or background.
Hola a todos los miembros de la comunidad de Liketu, mañana 16 de junio es el Día Mundial de las Artes Marciales y no veo mejor manera de honrar ese día que exhibiendo a una madre, esposa y artista marcial que encarna el espíritu de esta disciplina. Su nombre es Ariadna. Ella practica desde que es una niña. Ha participado en muchos concursos y ahora es Técnica de Documentación en el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología donde también trabajo. Algunas de las posturas que puedes ver en las fotos son el Zenkutsu Dachi, Zuri Itsa Hitachi y el Kokutsu Dachi.
Hace dos meses tuve la oportunidad de peinar y maquillar a esta chica y decidí tomarle unas fotos en acción. Las fotos que más me gustaron las utilicé para una promoción de peinado y maquillaje por el día de las madres, lo que me permitió atraer nuevas clientas.
Ver películas de artes marciales ha sido mi pasión desde la infancia. Me encantaba ver a los artistas marciales, Bruce Lee y Jackie Chan en cada uno de sus filmes, así que fue genial volver a conectarme con eso a través de este proyecto. La dedicación y la habilidad de esta chica son impresionantes, a pesar de que ella dice que está fuera de forma. Me mostró algunas posturas de combate y movimientos que resaltaron la belleza y la gracia de este arte.
Mañana 16 de junio, recordemos los valores y enseñanzas que se encuentran en el corazón de las artes marciales: "disciplina, respeto, humildad y perseverancia". Todos podemos aprender estos principios y aplicarlos a nuestras propias vidas, cualquiera que sea nuestra profesión u origen.
