I must share about this cooking recipe that I stumbled across accidentally because I did not expect it to be this delicious!
A friend gave me this black bean powder that is usually used for Zha Jiang noodle, I believe. It is produced by Korea with the wordings of the packaging all in Korean so I did not really understand how to use it at first.
Ingredients:
I had some thin pork belly slices in my freezer and I was looking for ways to cook it.
- Thin pork belly slices cut into bite size
- Diced celery
- Diced carrots
- Chopped Garlic
- Korean Black Bean powder (half a pack)
How to cook it
- Heat up some oil in the pan and cook the garlic first.
- When the oil is hot enough, add in the cut pork belly slices and stir fry them till they are cooked.
- Add in the diced celery and carrots.
- Add in half a pack of the Korean Black Bean powder and stir it thoroughly in the pan.
- Add some water and let it simmer so the meat and vegetables can soak up the goodness in the gravy.
I totally did not expect it could turn out this good that I went to take rice to go with it.
My conclusion about this dish is it is one of my cooking #gems! It is very VERY IRRESISTABLE AND I AM GOING TO COOK IT AGAIN TOMORROW! Woohoo! If you can find it in any Asian market, you have got to try this magic powder, I tell you!
