Last night, I was on my bed when I got a news notification of a fire in Les Deux Alpes. We just arrived home from our winter ski holiday.
The news was in French but I translated it to English. I was looking at the photos where the fire was exactly.
Just so happened it was in front of our rental apartment. The fire happened in broad daylight. We left Les Deux Alpes at midnight before the fire started.
The first photo you see above was from the news I took a screenshot.
The second photo you see was from the first day we arrived.
The hotel/accommodation that was on fire was just on my right side when i took the photo.
My husband was in the shower and I told him about it. He was shocked because we just left the same day but hours earlier.
If we had stayed more, I am sure I would be in panic mode.
As stated in the news, about 550 people need to find a new accommodation. Good thing nobody was hurt.
