I have been keen on eating ramen since last week and my heart was so happy last Friday when ~ finally ~ I was able to eat my cravings away. 😁🥰 My friend Joy and I planned to have a friDate that day to catch up on lots of things. When Joy asked as to where we'd eat I then told her I was craving for some good ramen.
As we were in Streetscape she recommended that we try Dōtonbori Ramen. She tried it once and their ramen was some 'something' good. I was glad that she had a reco, so we immediately went!
It was a small space but it had "classy vibes" with its interiors, as you may notice. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs, so that's a plus. There were not a lot of customers so it did not feel crowded.
We ordered their best seller Tantanmen and a side of fried gyoza. Since we're planning to eat dessert at Merci we did not order lots so that there is still space for more food lolololl.
Their Tantanmen has a strong "peanut butter"-ish taste, which I liked. It's a very hearty soup - there is something about ramen that reminds me of a rainy afternoon when our house smells like earth and after dancing in the rain our Mama prepares hot bowls of 'champorado' and we all eat them with so much joy; oh to be a child again.
Joy and I ate the ramen and gyoza with much gratitude. The evening was splendid. 🥰 We were able to talk about life, work, mental health challenges, love life, plans of the future, among others.
To sum up would I recommend Dōtonbori Ramen? It is a RESOUNDING YES! The price is worth the food you get to enjoy. 😘🍜🖤

It is a cool place - the beach, the mountains, the busy city life - it's all within one's accessibility! 😊 AND THE FOOOOOD - yummy restaurants are pretty much everywhere too 😍 Hope you can pay a visit soon!! by the way where do you live though? 😊
I am quite far away in the USA. I've had quite a few friends and acquaintances from the Philippines though.
