What a beautiful time of year it is to be out and about in nature, admiring all the colourful
plants and flowers that are in bloom. I know that flowers usually bloom in spring and
summer but there are some that bloom in early autumn too. Today I am going to tell you
about three of those autumn flowers.

One of my favourite summer flowers is the tulip. The tulip has a long and complicated
history but the beautiful blooms certainly speak for themselves!
Roses are another flower that is popular during the spring and summer months but is
blooming in some gardens now too. That is why most of my flower photography in autumn
are of roses. There are so many beautiful varieties of roses out there so there is bound to be
one to suit any garden or colour scheme.

Roses can grow in many different climates and soils so it is easy to find a variety to suit your
location. Here in Europe, the most popular types of roses are Rosa Rugosa, Rosa Gallica and
Rosa Alba although there are other varieties available such as Madonna di Camp. All of
these roses have different coloured flowers and different scents but all produce stunning
bouquets.
