Conociendo al artista y escultor venezolano Samuel Baroni
Nacido bajo el signo de Piscis el 25 de febrero de 1945, de origen humilde, con la mejor disposición de aprender a manifestar una ávida llama artística que corre por sus venas, realizó sus primeros estudios en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas Aplicadas "Cristóbal Rojas", aprendiendo de sus maestros Octavio Russo, Edgar Sánchez y Miguel Laufer, grandes exponentes del arte de mediados y finales del siglo XX,, quienes impulsaron al joven artista a ampliar sus horizontes, incorporando aspectos relevantes e innovadores como es el uso de tecnología en el arte, gracias a sus estudios en el Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (IVIC).
La materialización de su arte se ve reflejado de manera fructífera tras experimentar sentimientos adversos que permiten liberar energia fisica a tal punto que conlleve a emular el esfuerzo de un Creador: la batalla entre el bien y el mal, angustia, autocuestionamiento, equilibrio y paz entre el alma y el cuerpo; un sensible viaje interior en medio de un mundo externo complejo y caótico.
Los materiales más destacados en sus obras son por lo general de origen natural y orgánico: madera, cuerdas, arena, con una paleta de colores otoñal, procuran conectar al hombre con su entorno, ése ambiente en el que crecemos y desarrollamos, donde nuestras raíces se reflejan en nuestra existencia.
Seis décadas de arte le han llevado a ganar múltiples premios y reconocimientos a nivel nacional e internacional, logrando cautivar países como Estados Unidos, Francia, China, Colombia, Brasil y Ecuador; por supuesto, nuestro país cuenta con arte, que podemos ver en la Galería de Arte Nacional, con su obra: "Primera y última carreta", una pintura de arena, cemento y acrílico sobre madera, realizado en 1987.

Getting to know Venezuelan artist and sculptor Samuel Baroni
Born under the sign of Pisces on February 25, 1945, of humble origin, with the best disposition to learn to manifest an avid artistic flame that runs through his veins, he carried out his first studies in the School of Applied Plastic Arts "Cristóbal Rojas", learning from his teachers Octavio Russo, Edgar Sánchez and Miguel Laufer, great exponents of the art of the middle and end of the 20th century, who impelled the young artist to broaden his horizons, incorporating relevant and innovative aspects such as the use of technology in art. He was able to do this thanks to his studies at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (IVIC).
The materialisation of his art is fruitfully reflected after experiencing adverse feelings that allow him to release physical energy to such an extent that it leads to emulating the effort of a Creator: the battle between good and evil, anguish, self-questioning, balance and peace between the soul and the body; a sensible inner journey in the midst of a complex and chaotic external world.
The most prominent materials in his works are generally of natural and organic origin: wood, ropes, sand, with an autumnal colour palette, they seek to connect man with his environment, that environment in which we grow and develop, where our roots are reflected in our existence.
Six decades of art have led him to win multiple awards and recognitions at national and international level, captivating countries such as the United States, France, China, Colombia, Brazil and Ecuador; of course, our country has art, which we can see in the Galería de Arte Nacional, with his work: "Primera y última carreta", a painting of sand, cement and acrylic on wood, made in 1987.
