Appearances
Few things are more deceptive in this world than appearances. Beauty and wonder can be found in the least suspicious people. We judge on many occasions without giving them the opportunity to demonstrate with facts what lives inside them.
A simple example of this is cacti. Loved by many, misunderstood and despised by others. Hard, rough, dangerous but above all strong and persevering. They come in a thousand shapes, colors and sizes, with complex patterns, living or inanimate.
But give them time to show who they are, what they can give and you will be dazzled by their beauty. Just look at the flowers on one of my cacti, they are spectacular, they remind me of lotuses. Few would say that something so rigid and unattractive could give the world delicacy and clarity.

Pocas cosas son más engañosas en este mundo como las apariencias. Se puede encontrar belleza y maravillas en las personas menos sospechas. Juzgamos en muchas ocasiones sin darle oportunidad a que demuestren con hechos lo que habita en su interior.
Un ejemplo simple de esto son los cactus. Amados por muchos, incomprendidos y despreciados por otros. Duros, ásperos, peligrosos pero sobretodo fuertes y perseverantes. Vienen en mil formas, colores y tamaños, con patrones complejos, vivos o inanimados.
Pero dales tiempo de mostrar quién son, lo que pueden dar y te deslumbrará su belleza. Solo mira las flores de uno de mis cactus, son espectaculares, me recuerdan a los lotos. Pocos dirían que algo tan rígido y poco atractivo podría darle al mundo delicadeza y claridad.

Muy linda la comparación de los cactus. Tbh, a mí me gustan los cactus, porque son una demostración de resistencia. Además, que la vez que llegué a tener uno, se adaptó superrápido a la tierra.
