Are these beautiful mushrooms growing in parks and our gardens edible?

Often, walking in parks or gardens, we notice wild mushrooms. Most people, noticing such a phenomenon, are convinced that if a mushroom grows near human habitations, in a park or garden, it is certainly poisonous, or at least worthless.

Of course, this is often duplicated and erroneous thinking associated with ignorance. Many species of mushrooms, and in fact most of those growing in our environment, are edible mushrooms.

Oczywiście to często powielane i błędne myślenie wiążące się z niewiedzą. Wiele gatunków grzybów, a w zasadzie większość rosnących w naszym otoczeniu to grzyby jadalne.

Such an example of an edible fungus is the black mushroom. This is a species of mushroom that can often be found in parks, for example around park benches, in gardens.

Experienced mushroom pickers know the taste of this mushroom very well, because the young fruiting body fried in butter in a pan is considered a rarity on the kitchen table.

Saludos!

only the young mushroom is edible, preferably fried in butter 😉

Those are delicious, even raw they are great

Yes, they taste like Champignon 😉

Yes, in Latin Coprinus comatus or in English - shaggy ink cap, lawyer's wig, or shaggy mane 😉

The only strange thing is that I have never eaten it 😁 I like mushroom and eat it than it is fresh. Sometimes also frozen and dried. In soup of course.

yes, because it is an underrated species. Condition - must be young, and gills must be white. When the gills are black it is very bad

Don’t risk it. My only trip to the ER as a patient was when my grandpa decided to gather and cook some “tasty” woodland mushrooms. Entire family to ER. Months paying off the bills (deductibles and copays apply even with insurance). Yeah…mushrooms are the one food now my dad won’t force me to at least try. I’m not a picky eater, I just don’t usually like tofu and mushrooms and mushy beans.

Believe me, I've known about mushrooms for over 30 years :)

Enjoy your shrooms! I’m comforted by never having to eat mushrooms again. Except pre-cooked stuff in restaurant dishes. I don’t mind them, it’s not a phobia. I just dislike mushroom flavor. And the connection my brain made of the taste to sickness.

All mushrooms are edible as long as I'm posting here :D
