Today I show you one of my absolute favorite foods, I ate it for the first time in Mexico and have been making it about once a week since then 😋
It's quick and easy to make and delicious!

All you need is :

fresh raw tuna
1 large red onion
1 lime
salt, pepper, garlic powder
1 fresh garlic clove
brown sugar
soy sauce, olive oil
green sprouts
Avocado, if you like you can put avocado on it, we are not the biggest avocado fans and have left them out.

First, we take care of the marinade for the onions,
they have to soak in the sauce for about half an hour.
We mix soy sauce, lime brown sugar, fresh garlic, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and a little bit of oil. We add the onions that we cut into thin rings. Please make sure that everything is covered by the sauce, we set this aside and leave it for about 30 minutes act min.

Next, we cut the tuna fillets into thin slices, the thinner the better!

When the onions have been in the soy sauce mix for about 30 minutes, it is time to fry them. We put some olive oil in a pan and let the onions slowly caramelize, I keep adding a little brown sugar and some of the soy sauce mix.

When the onions are soft and caramelized, they're done!

Now we can cover the tostadas with it.
So the bottom layer is onions, then the tuna slices come on top, and then you add a little sauce. You can now optionally place the avocado slices on the tuna and green sprouts on top.

The whole thing is garnished with a little more of the soy sauce mixture and optionally a little more salt and pepper can be added.
