I was gifted a cactus by my neighbor similar to your Euphorbia ingens last year but it didn't survive as it turns brown and watery I dunno what have happened and I have another one coming next month for a replacement, I hope it will grow as big as your cactus over there.

It probably got too much water and was gifted to you when it was newly cut from the mother plant. When cut from the mother plant, it should be left on thr grounds so that the white liquid (poisonous) could flow before planting it.
