Ankara's winter months are very cold and windy. In fact, Ankara is famous in Turkey with this feature. Those who do not wear tight clothes while coming to Ankara from another city will become ill to a large extent due to the harsh cold.
Finally, this week, the cold weather period is over and the sweet spring winds are starting to blow. We experienced a much longer winter period compared to previous years, but the weather warmed up with a great acceleration. There were temperature rises of around 10-15 degrees and this happened in just one week. We started to wear our summer clothes this week, while we were walking around with thick coats just last week.
There were occasional snowfalls in winter, but there was no snow density as in previous years. Especially in the city center, most of the time, snowflakes melted as soon as they fell on the ground.
On the other hand, we had the chance to see more snow in rural areas of Ankara. Since there is no concrete and asphalt density as in the city, the snowflakes remained on the ground for longer periods. Three of the four photos in the post belong to one of the nearby villages of Ankara. One of them belongs to the city center where there are also apartments. You can easily see that the snow density in the village is higher.
Now the heat has come and we can start spring sharing. I will continue to record the beauties that come my way every season. Enjoy the spring and the sun, bye. :)
Ankara'nın kış ayları hava çok soğuk ve rüzgarlı olur. Hatta Ankara bu özelliğiyle de Türkiye'de meşhurdur. Başka bir şehirden Ankara'ya gelirken sıkı giyinmeyenler sert soğukların etkisiyle büyük oranda hasta olurlar.
Nihayet bu hafta soğuk hava dönemi sona erdi ve tatlı tatlı bahar rüzgarları esmeye başladı. Geçen yıllara göre çok daha uzun bir kış dönemi yaşadık ama havalar büyük bir ivmeyle ısındı. 10-15 derece civarında sıcaklık artışları yaşandı ve bu sadece bir hafta içerisinde oldu. Daha geçen hafta kalın montlarla dolaşırken bu hafta yazlık giysilerimizi giymeye başladık.
Kışın ara sıra kar yağışları da oldu ama eski yıllar kadar bir kar yoğunluğu olmadı. Özellikle şehir merkezinde çoğu zaman kar taneleri yere düşer düşmez eridi gitti.
Öte yandan Ankara'nın kırsal bölgelerinde daha çok kar görme şansımız oldu. Şehir içindeki gibi beton ve asfalt yoğunluğu olmadığından kar taneleri daha uzun süreler yerde kaldı. Posttaki dört fotoğrafın üçü Ankara'nın civar köylerinden birisine ait. Biri de apartmanların da olduğu şehir merkezine ait. Köydeki kar yoğunluğunun daha fazla olduğunu rahatlıkla görebiliyorsunuz.
