One of the downsides of living in a small city is that you'll run out of options in a lot of things such as shopping centers or mall, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
It's not every day that you see something new. My high school buddies and I love eating when we meet up for quick catch ups but recently we've been going back to the same coffee shop called Lokal Brew as it's the best option for us. In our get together yesterday, we were lucky to find out about this new coffee shop that opened not long ago. We all agreed to meet here and see what they could offer our hungry appetite.
First and foremost, everyone was not familiar where it was located. Hershey and Charlene went to Fritze's house first. Fritze's house is near and they decided to walk from there. This was better than getting lost in our small hometown 😂 On the other hand, I asked my father to drive me there and with Google Maps' help, we arrived in no time. The location of the Cafe is nothing new to all of us, it's just a 2-3 minute walk from our high school Alma Mater and we'd literally pass by here every time we go to church or to the old town Plaza. Before Bistro Geronimo occupied this place, there used to be another restaurant called Nooks that we never had the chance of visiting. Oh well it wasn't inviting at all back then. For all I could remember, Nooks was gloomy and I haven't seen anyone dine there before. When I saw the new cafe, it looked nowhere near Nooks. They've truly reinvented the place; with full glass walls, it feels refreshing and inviting. I also love how they kept the entire place clean and white. There's nothing dramatic about the cafe's design, everything is minimalist from furniture to the interior design of the main counter. When we ordered, I was bit shocked with the prices of their food. I thought they were a bit expensive but perhaps their servings are huge but when our orders came, much to my disappointment, the serving size were too small for the price we paid. We ordered pizza, sandwich and carbonara and they were all good. Their pizza could have more toppings and it'd be perfect by then. The drinks were also surprisingly delicious.
The main dining hall was a bit hot when we came, they could definitely use some air conditioning here. Overall, we enjoyed our time here. I might come back and bring my parents and boyfriend for an afternoon snack here. I hope they'll improve in their food serving next time. ❤️

agree we cannot see new thing everyday when we are older, everyday my life is, get up, eat breakfast at home, go to work, after work, take bus, go home, shower, sleep. boring life
