Pattanaram temple is the temple in the Tha Ruea village ( we call it Tha Ruea temple) which is my hometown. It is a temple that I have been familiar with since childhood. Because my mother and grandmother take me to this temple often, Whether it is a Buddhist monk day or various merit-making events organized by this temple. For this post, I will take everyone to see the atmosphere of The United Kathin Ceremony at this temple. Kathin ceremony is considered an important tradition of Buddhism. There can be performed only once a year after the end of the Rains (This period is called Kathin Festival). A rough step begins from The villagers started to make a Kathin procession on the roadside outside the temple fence and walking through Kathin procession inside the temple with musical instruments played with a lead thai dance to go to the sermon hall to perform the Kathin ceremony. Everyone was smiling even though that day was very hot. When the Kathin ceremony was completed The people came out of the sermon hall to set up a Kathin procession again and there will be a Kathin procession to the courtyard of the chapel to walk around the chapel 3 rounds. The procession moved slowly each one smiles, seemed happy to have made merit this time. there are many types of Kathina bushes decorated with banknotes. These merit money will be donated to the temple.
