Amigos de Liketu, les ha pasado que a veces ven un lugar y sueñan estar allá y siempre piensa, como será ese lugar, bueno está vez me toco a mi sin planificar mucho y sin saber que rumbo iba exactamente mi novio me llevo a un lugar muy lindo que siempre quería ir, pues el no sabía pero igual fue bonito la verdad, lo veía tan irreal este lugar pero nada. Es un sueño es muy lindo. Acá te cuento que es este lugar Valle de Cocora, está en la parte andinas en el departamento de Quindío, tiene unas palma llamada (Palma cera del Quindío) crece hasta los 70 metros. Es la monocotiledónea más grande del mundo. Sus hojas son verde oscuras y grisáceas, con pecíolos de más de 2 m de longitud. El tronco es cilíndrico, liso y cubierto de cera. Cuando las hojas mueren y caen, dejan un anillo negro alrededor del tallo. Es una especie protegida. Ceroxylon quindiuense tiene un crecimiento extremadamente alto, y vive más de cien años. Es magnífico saber todo esto, que no creemos que tenga tanto nuestras naturaleza por lo tanto como está zona es andina y húmeda crece está hermosa palmera, pero esto no es todo este lugar es llamado así Cocora poque era el nombre de una princesa y cuyo significado es estrella de agua, pero también decía que una ave al ver las palma llamaba co con rá y por esto tiene este nombre, ante de esto se llamaba cañón alto Quindío, pero de tanto dueño reclamando tierra le colocaron el nombre y lo dejaron como Valle de Cocora. Creo que debemos salir de la rutina y seguir apreciando lo maravilloso que nos da Dios está naturaleza y los paisajes así tendremos que contar en un futuro y llenar el libro de la vida con cosas positivas y maravillosas.

Here I tell you what this place is Valle de Cocora, is in the Andean part in the department of Quindio, has a palm called (Palma cera del Quindio) grows up to 70 meters.
