This is the same river a few hours later, from a different angle. Funny to see how different it looks

An alpaca friend. They are not native to this area, but they seem to fare well nonetheless.

Back at our homestead we walked around the garden to see which plants were surviving. Matico (buddleja globosa) is a super medicinal tree and we took some branches that had been pruned to see if they would take root. So far they look very nice.

Kale plants were doing ok as well. We've noticed plants from the brassica family fare well in cold weather.

This one is also unknown, growing on a nothofagus native to this area. Sorry for the lack of info but you gotta admit they're good looking.

Winter can be cold and harsh, but it can also be beautiful and enchanting. On our last ride we took some pictures of the landscape around us because it was just awe inspiring.

In case you're wondering, we live in Chile (southern hemisphere), so snow is common here. There have even been snows that stacked up to a meter worth of height on some years.

Hope you enjoy the pics, wishing you a great week. ✨

What a winter wonderland. It's so beautiful. I am experiencing very different weather at the moment, but it sure is nice to see some snow.
Kale is such a hardy plant, I love it xxxxx

Kale is a badass, hands down. Glad you're enjoying the warm side of the planet, missing that very much

Beautiful photos!!

Thank you!
