Our three panels of 75 watts each. We wanted to place them on the ceiling but the snow has delayed that process for some time.

On the upper left is the distribution box which sends energy to the bulbs and plugs. Immediately to the right is the battery. Further right are the cables that come from the panels. On the lower part go inverter, control panel, and the panels themselves.

Here are some pics from the previous setup that we took to remember where everything went.

Later that night we enjoyed a beautiful appearance of the full moon 🌝

Last year, @fenngen invested some of his hard earned Hive and Splinterland earnings in a very basic solar power system and the installment of it. As we begin building our new house and left behind the old shelter, we had an accident with a big branch that cut the wires and rendered the installation useless.

With no knowledge of electricity, we went on without power because we didn't know how to put it back together. But after many tutorials and a lot of observation we built up the confidence to set up the system again and move everything into the new build.

It was a very satisfying feeling to get things working, especially because of the many frustrations we encountered before we succeded. Thankfully, none of our mistakes were critical and we were able to get things done without any significant accidents.

It's not perfect, we have a very worn out battery so there's little more than a few hours of lighting and phone charging available for us. Also, the inverter is quite dated and will only support one battery. If anyone reading this has a 24V inverter and used batteries that still have juice on them, please let us know and we might be able to do some business.

Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great weekend as always. Till next one!

Well done you guys. The installation looks great. I hope you are able to upgrade your battery and inverter soon.
I too felt uncomfortable having to deal with the electrical side of things in my truck, electricity kind of scares me. But being off grid for so long now, has taught me a lot and I feel a lot more confident now dealing with any issues xxx
