Hace unos días mi esposo y yo cruzamos la frontera para ir a Venezuela y acompañar a mi familia que se regresaban luego de unas mini-vacaciones en Bogotá.
La verdad a mi me daba mucha ilusión cruzar a San Antonio, Venezuela... porque ya está abierta la frontera y se suponía que estaba más seguro el recorrido, pero debo decir que tan solo alcruzar me sentí triste. La diferencia entre el lado venezolano y colombiano es abismal, mucha inseguridad y personas queriendose aprovechar de los propios paisanos venezolanos que van a su país a visitar o de regreso a casa.
La verdad ese día regresamos a Cúcuta y nos quedamos en un hotel sencillo con una piscinita que nos refrescó del calor cucuteño, no pudimos pasear mucho en la ciudad porque teníamos que regresar a nuestros trabajos en BOGOTÁ, y además era feriado y la ciudad estaba bastante sola.
Tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el monumento CRISTO REY, que es una zona turistica de Cúcuta, pero estaba todo cerrado por el festivo y también nos tropezamos con una pequeña micro-exposición que teníamos que ver con una lupa chiquitica, muy impresionante y bonita.

A few days ago my husband and I crossed the border to go to Venezuela to accompany my family who were returning after a mini-vacation in Bogota.
The truth is that I was really looking forward to crossing to San Antonio, Venezuela? because the border is already open and the trip was supposed to be safer, but I must say that just crossing I felt sad. The difference between the Venezuelan and Colombian side is abysmal, a lot of insecurity and people wanting to take advantage of the Venezuelan countrymen who go to their country to visit or return home.
The truth that day we returned to Cúcuta and stayed in a simple hotel with a pool that cooled us from the heat of Cúcuta, we could not walk much in the city because we had to return to our jobs in BOGOTÁ, and it was a holiday and the city was pretty lonely.
We had the opportunity to visit the CRISTO REY monument, which is a tourist area of Cúcuta, but everything was closed for the holiday and we also stumbled upon a small micro-exhibition that we had to see with a tiny magnifying glass, very impressive and beautiful.
