Hello liketu friends, today I want to tell you about my experience working as a polling station member for the consultative elections in my country. To begin with, they were elections to consult the people about actions to take for the territory of Essequibo.

We arrived at 4 am on Sunday to install the machines, I woke up at 3 am, got ready and went to the voting center with my mother who was also assigned to work that day, I thought there would be a lot of people but the truth is at the center voting were half of the voters.

The people who were going to vote began to enter at 6 am, there my job was quite responsible because I had to look for each ballot in the electoral booklet and make sure that the voter signed the book before leaving the center.

Logistics was in charge of bringing us breakfast, lunch and dinner, also water and coffee with bread for snack, it got late and they did not give a closing order, until 8 pm, the internet was not useful for the transmission of the votes, so we had to wait until 11 p.m. for a representative of the National Electoral Council to come.

Everything was ordered and the necessary minutes for the closing of the electoral process were signed and we left the center to our homes at 1am. It was exhausting, I thanked God when I got home.
