First of all, thank you for organising the contest and in this case for its theme, which I find very attractive as well as complex. Almost everything in life is a question of concepts and particularly, when I face a portrait session, I try to start from expressive neutrality, and if the people in front of the camera acquire that neutrality from the start, he or she will find his or her own position in front of the camera.
This technique almost always works for me, let's say it's "my method", although on other occasions spontaneity has also given me good results. Depending on the moment and the trust that has been established with the model, the session can flow in a way in which everything is more spontaneous.
I am submitting a small selection of my portrait work to the contest, with the intention of showing the different variations on the topic and how I interpret them as a photographer.

En primer lugar gracias por la organización del concurso y en este caso por su temática, la cual me parece muy atractiva, a la par que compleja. Casi todo en la vida es una cuestión de conceptos y particularmente, cuando afronto una sesión de retrato, trato de partir de la neutralidad expresiva, y si las personas ante la cámara adquieren esa neutralidad de partida, él o ella por sí mismos van encontrando su posición ante la cámara.
Esta técnica me suele funcionar casi siempre, digamos que es "mi método", aunque en otras ocasiones también me ha dado buenos resultados la espontaneidad. Dependiendo del momento y de la confianza que se haya establecido con el o la modelo, la sesión puede fluir de una manera en la que todo sea más espontáneo.
Presento al concurso una pequeña selección de mi trabajo en el ámbito del retrato, con la intención de mostrar las distintas variaciones sobre el tema y como las interpreto como fotógrafo.
Todas la imágenes que ves publicadas son de mi autoría.
No uses ninguna sin mi permiso por escrito.
