Not all rivers flow.
There are many epithets that compare our life with a river the waters of which rush somewhere far away and you cannot enter the same water twice.
But you know I noticed that this only applies to the rivers that nature has created by changing landscapes and directing water sources in one direction.
Such rivers rarely silt up remain full-flowing until a person intervenes in the process for example by building a dam on the river to create a reservoir or to build a hydroelectric power station.
In such cases the life of the river one might say breaks down its natural balance is disturbed and the rivers begin to dry up and silt up.
When building pipelines I often had to make decisions about crossing rivers.
A natural river is difficult to cross dada by building a temporary dam, and human-made rivers turn out to be a weak opponent because as a rule, there is more silt than water.
I don’t know why but everything that a person touches in terms of hydraulic engineering turns into swamps into a sewer.
I am happy that my daughters who are now studying at the University at the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering see what I see and understand that while creating something we should not destroy life around but as it will be in their adulthood time will tell.
