En una casa donde la oscuridad abundaba, solo la iluminación de una fogata brindaba claridad. Un hombre sentado frente a ella arroja un leño para mantener la llamarada encendida, cada leño representa un propósito, logro o meta que se cumplió durante el año que pasó.
El hombre se ha quedado sin nada que arrojar a la fogata. ¿Qué no hice? ¿Por qué ya no tengo nada más que arrojar? se preguntaba el hombre inquietante.
Entre la oscuridad, una voz resonaba y confortaba:
-Tranquilo, buen hombre. El no tener leño que arrojar es sinónimo de que lograste cumplir cada uno de tus propósitos del año. Ahora deberás plantearte nuevos retos y logros por cumplir, para que dentro de un año puedas mantener esta fogata como siempre lo has hecho.
El hombre entendió que logró sus propósitos del año, se levantó y se dirigió hacia la oscuridad de donde provenía la voz. Allí abrazó a su esposa, le agradeció por estar siempre con él, no sin antes dejarle una veladora en su altar.
English Version
In a house where darkness abounded, only the illumination of a bonfire provided clarity. A man sitting in front of it throws a log to keep the flame burning, each log representing a purpose, achievement or goal that was accomplished during the past year.
The man has run out of anything to throw into the fire. What didn't I do? Why don't I have anything left to throw? the man wondered uneasily.
In the darkness, a voice echoed and comforted:
-Take it easy, good man. Having no more logs to throw means that you have accomplished each of your resolutions for the year. Now you must set yourself new challenges and achievements to accomplish, so that a year from now you will be able to maintain this campfire as you have always done.
The man understood that he had achieved his resolutions for the year, got up and walked towards the darkness where the voice came from. There he hugged his wife, thanked her for always being with him, but not before leaving a candle on her altar.
Que bueno sería haber cumplido con todos los propósitos. Llegar a una meta nos prepara para el siguiente escalón de la vida.
Atrapada con la historia, sin duda alguna muy reveladora de esa parte espiritual del personaje, que es abrazado por el amor final de su esposa que ya no esta. Muchísimo éxito y un abrazo navideño. @julian8866

Buen trabajo, me parece que con una pulida esta historia puede ser un excelente cuento. Me gusto mucho como lo cierras y el remate final.
