El día de ayer fue el día de los muertos, en varios paises de latinoamerica se conmera esta fecha.
Pero a mi en particular a pesar de no ser mexicana, me encanta la manera en la cultura mexicana celebra esta festividad como una tradición muy grande alrededor de todo el país.
Digamos que en otros paises el día de muertos es un día triste donde se recuerda y se llevan flores al cementerio a nuestros difuntos, al menos aca en venezuela es así. Pero solo eso. No es alegre no es una festividad.
Yesterday was the day of the dead, in several Latin American countries this date is commemorated.
But for me in particular, even though I am not Mexican, I love the way Mexican culture celebrates this holiday as a very big tradition all around the country.
Let's say that in other countries the day of the dead is a sad day where people remember and take flowers to the cemetery to our deceased, at least here in Venezuela it is like that. But that's all. It is not joyful, it is not a festivity.
A mi me parece increíble y sigo desde hace años esta festividad mexicana ´por la manera diferente de conmemorar y recordar a los muertos.
En México es diferente, se celebra la vida, y me parece increiblemente bonito. Los vivos se preparan para recibir a los muertos, hacen un altar porque tienen la creencia de que sus difuntos vienen con ellos a convivir ese día y les preparan las comidas que mas le gustaban en vida.
A nivel social, los mexicanos lo expresan de una manera divertida. Hacen pequeñas rimas llamadas “calaveritas”.
I find it incredible and I have been following this Mexican holiday for years because of the different way of commemorating and remembering the dead.
In Mexico it is different, life is celebrated, and I find it incredibly beautiful. The living prepare to receive the dead, they make an altar because they believe that their dead come to live with them that day and they prepare the food they liked the most in life.
On a social level, Mexicans express it in a funny way. They make little rhymes called "calaveritas ".
Uno de mis sueños es poder estar en México eun día de muertos para poder presenciar toda la tradición y cultura que gira a traves de este día. Entiendo que es uno de los días mas significativos para ellos.
Me gusta que en esta celebración de Día de Muertos, la muerte no representa una ausencia sino a una presencia viva, un simbolo de que hubo vida. Además de que nuestros seres queridos sean recordados, porque cuando los olvidamos es que realmente mueren.
El año pasado hice un pequeño altar y un maquillaje de catrina también, porque quise sentir un poco mas de cercas esta tradición pero sin duda, espero algún día vivirla de cerca en México.
Este año quise tener mejores fotos, y hacer una mejor recreación de la cual el maquillaje estuvo a cargo mi amiga @rubc, donde recreamos por completo y todo lo hicimos con cosas que teniamos en casa. La camisa de calavera es una de mis reliquas, es una camisa mexicana y me gusta mucho porque creo que refleja mucho su cultura y quedó especial para este look.
One of my dreams is to be able to be in Mexico on the Day of the Dead to witness all the tradition and culture that revolves around this day. I understand that it is one of the most significant days for them.
I like that in this Day of the Dead celebration, death does not represent an absence but a living presence, a symbol that there was life. Besides that our loved ones are remembered, because when we forget them is when they really die.
Last year I made a small altar and a catrina makeup too, because I wanted to feel a little closer to this tradition but without a doubt, I hope someday to live it up close in Mexico.
This year I wanted to have better photos, and make a better recreation of which the makeup was in charge of my friend @rubc, where we recreated completely and we did everything with things we had at home. The skull shirt is one of my heirlooms, it's a mexican shirt and I like it a lot because I think it reflects a lot of their culture and it was special for this look.
La Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO), declaró en 2008 esta festividad como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, por su importancia y significado en tanto se trata de una expresión tradicional -contemporánea y viviente a un mismo tiempo.
Sin duda también es una tradición que nos invita a reflexioar sobre la vida, porque una vez muerto, ya no podemos dar todo ese amor que nos queda. Creo que todo lo que queramos dar, debemos hacerlo en vida, no quedarnos co nada, siempre dar ese beso, ese abrazo, decir esas palabras de cariño, en vida y que todos los que nos rodean se sientan queridos. Que nunca nos quede nada por dentro, haberlo dado todo a los nuestros en vida, creo que esa es la lección más bonita.
In 2008, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared this festivity as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, due to its importance and significance as a traditional expression -contemporary and living at the same time.
Undoubtedly it is also a tradition that invites us to reflect on life, because once dead, we can no longer give all that love we have left. I believe that whatever we want to give, we should do it while we are alive, never leave anything behind, always give that kiss, that hug, say those words of affection, while we are alive and make everyone around us feel loved. May we never have anything left inside, having given everything to our loved ones in life, I think that is the most beautiful lesson.
Porque como dice una de es frases mexicanas, El muerto al pozo y el vivo al gozo.
Because as one of the Mexican phrases says, The dead to the well and the living to the joy.
