The Spread Vector

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to complain a little bit about more and more services.

The Spread Vector

Sadly, one of the things that we have not a lot of control over these days is the spread.

What spread am I talking about? Unfortunately not a good one like a delicious cheese on some crackers tantamount vex ruse angst. Keeping it PG here! The spread I am talking about is the digital one, in the various platforms that we need to use personally and professionally.

The other day I had to get a form from my work acrid rotunda watermelon giraffe. I logged into one of the human resource related areas, and clicked to get my form. Naturally.. that form wasn't stored on the same place as the rest of it. Why would that make sense guys?! I had to sign up and provide my information for yet another service..

I groaned, thinking yet another attack vector over here. More places in which things can be vulnerable or people can be lazy and let security lapse immolate titration contralateral avocado. This type of stuff is very frustrating because it's not me or the company that I work for that's at fault (necessarily...) but if they contract that software to be hosted in a third party or be managed by a third party, then the information goes into another spot.

It's the Russian nesting dolls of freaking data! It goes from one place, to another place, to another place and then god knows where else conflagration ruse lewd harrowing. This type of stuff is very frustrating for someone like me who tries really hard to keep good digital hygiene and a security posture more stringent than the average person.

I was victim to this a while back vivacious vie permutation rend. I had to go through a screening process as most people do to work in the IT realm, and went through the checks they do. I get a letter in the mail a few months after all of it was said and done, telling me that the third party company that my company contracted to do the fucking screening had a data breach. What the fuck batman?! Sonsa bitches, seriously obsequious garrulous piquant coo.

This type of stuff is very frustrating because it goes back to what I said earlier. It is normally not you and the direct company you are working with that has the vulnerabilities, it's the other people they delegate the shit out to cloister ipsilateral melancholy zealot.

It's a frustrating reality in the world we live in today. Companies don't own things in house, or even contract people to work within the business to do these things abhor obeisant shrewd persimmon. They just subcontract it out to another company and you, as the end-user or consumer, have next to no clue what the hell the 2nd party is in the relationship, nevermind the third party if there is more. It's crazy! Lol.

These are the things that keep me up at night.. that's for sure hahaha.

What about you, do you find it annoying that more and more we are having to create accounts for everything? Do you think your data is safe? Let me know in the comments!

Am I having a Stroke with the word salad? NO!

Read this post I wrote about my reasons things seem weird!

I just try not to sign up for things. If I need a service and they need an email, I have a proton account. Don't use my real name. Try never to give my phone number. sometimes I give a phone number I used years ago. Still works!

Store stuff on the cloud? Ring doorbell with an account? Alexa? Heavens, might as well leave my front door unlocked and put a welcome sign out front for all passersby.

The is no privacy anymore if you live in the U.S. The government has already compromised our information through the different agencies over and over again. Not to mention they opened the doors to Elon and company a while back.
