A mi manera es una canción popular adaptada al inglés por Paul Anka, en 1969. La original es una canción francesa de 1967 «Comme d'habitude», escrita por Claude François y Jacques Revaux. La letra en inglés fue reescrita, casi totalmente, por Paul Anka de la original, en francés.

My way is a popular song adapted into English by Paul Anka, in 1969. The original is a 1967 French song "Comme d'habitude", written by Claude François and Jacques Revaux. The English lyrics were almost entirely rewritten by Paul Anka from the French original.

La canción habla de un hombre de avanzada edad, ya cercano a la muerte, que mira satisfecho el acontecer de su vida, mientras relata algunos de los aspectos más relevantes de ésta a un amigo, que lo escucha atentamente sentado a su lado manera (I did it my way, en inglés), expresión que se repite en el coro de la canción.

The song talks about an elderly man, already close to death, who looks satisfied at the events of his life, while recounting some of the most relevant aspects of it to a friend, who listens attentively sitting next to him manner (I did it my way, in English), an expression that is repeated in the chorus of the song.

Al final, al ver cómo ha transcurrido su vida, está feliz de cómo vivió, del curso que tomó su vida y lo que logró de ella, no obstante reconoce que se arrepiente de ciertas cosas y de haber sufrido grandes tristezas.Termina con una actitud optimista de su existencia:
