Hi friend, this is interesting but how does it work exactly?
I have a little bot running in a docker container on my NAS. The bot monitors when I upvote posts, and checks if the posts I try to upvote is still in the 7 day window. If it isn't, the bot creates a comment like the one above and sets the beneficiaries so that 95% of any upvote the comment gets goes to the author of the original post. The bot waits a few minutes and then upvotes the post.
This means I don't need to check is a post I like is still in the 7 day window, I just upvote, and if it's expired, the special comment will do its trick. My upvotes aren't worth much, just a few times the dust treshold, but I hope others with abouve dust treshold (I think about 2,000 HP) voting strength might want to also install the bot on their NAS.
I'm currently working on bigger projects, including a new async Python library for building bots, and I'm going to port this bot to that library. Maybe when I do, that version of the bot might get a bit more attention and others might look into using is too.
Oh, that's interesting. I've studied some programming but I haven't really sat down to study and practice hehe. Thanks for the support buddy. In the future if your bot keeps working I can consider investing something in the hive like your project (HP delegation) is.
