Bueno vengo a hablar de epica pero es raro no ver una portada que diga epica xD , no porque antes de epica la banda tenía por nombre Sahara Dust (muy raro si) pero ese fue su primer nombre y tenía otros integrantes y otra vocalista que no era mi linda y hermosa Simone xD en sus inicios. Fue en el año 2002 cuando cambiaron su nombre a Epica, el cual refleja mejor el estilo y la temática de su música.

Sahara Dust fue el nombre original de la banda antes de que se convirtiera en Epica. Durante esa etapa inicial, la banda estaba formada por Mark Jansen, Jeroen Simons y Helena Michaelsen (que era una muy pero muy buena contraalto con un tono de voz muy oscuro) como vocalista. Sin embargo, después de un tiempo, Helena dejó la banda y fue reemplazada por Simone Simons, momento en el cual también decidieron cambiar su nombre a Epica.
Sahara Dust was the band's original name before it became Epica. During that initial stage, the band consisted of Mark Jansen, Jeroen Simons and Helena Michaelsen (who was a very, very good contralto with a very dark tone of voice) as vocalist. However, after a while, Helena left the band and was replaced by Simone Simons, at which point they also decided to change their name to Epica.
