PL: Planując maj nie umieściliśmy w kalendarzu Bitcoin Pizza Day. Pomysł pojawił się dopiero pod koniec ubiegłego tygodnia. W niedzielę wrzuciłem post na Hive, w poniedziałek na Facebooka. Nie mieliśmy więc z @mynewlife dużych oczekiwań jeśli chodzi o frekwencję. Zwykle ogłoszenie wydarzenia w ostatniej chwili daje marne efekty. Wczoraj było inaczej.
Pojawili się stali bywalcy, osoby, które niedawno poznały Królestwo oraz zupełnie nowe osoby. Kilka nowych osób przywiózł ze sobą ze Śląska @deepresearch. Dwie przyszły, bo zobaczyły wydarzenie na Facebooku. To z kolei pokazało, że bez kupowania reklam wciąż jesteśmy w stanie docierać do zupełnie nowych osób. Zresztą, w sobotę organizujemy warsztaty ceramiczne i już teraz zapisało się na nie 5 osób, z czego 4 zupełnie nowe.
Podczas spotkania większość rozmów krążyła wokół kryptowalut i technologii blockchain, przy czym dla mnie szczególnie ciekawsze były te dotyczące systemu KBK. Okazało się, że jest on wyjątkowo inspirujący dla naszych śląskich gości i jest szansa, że w jakimś stopniu wdrożą go u siebie. Sam ostatnio sporo o nim myślałem w związku ze wsparciem Value Planu. Otóż system sam w sobie nic nie gwarantuje, nie jest cudownym środkiem do utrzymania niekomercyjnego miejsca. Ale w połączeniu z regularną pomocą może zdziałać cuda. Efekty zresztą widać gołym okiem.
Na koniec statystyki. W spotkaniu wzięło 15 osób (w tym z Hive: @ania-es, @deepresearch, @grigorijj, @hallmann, @kesilgonzalez, @mynewlife i kilka nieujawnionych). Łącznie zamówiliśmy i zjedliśmy 3 pizze, na które wydaliśmy 52.043 HBD lub 0.00072653 BTC.
ENG: When we were planning events for May, we did not include Bitcoin Pizza Day in the calendar. The idea only came up at the end of last week. I put a post on Hive on Sunday and on Facebook on Monday. So @mynewlife and I didn't have high expectations in terms of turnout. Usually announcing an event at the last minute yields poor results. Yesterday was different.
Regulars, people who had recently met the Kingdom and completely new people came. A couple of new people were brought along from Silesia by @deepresearch. Two came because they saw the event on Facebook. This showed that without buying advertising we are still able to reach completely new people. Anyway, we are organising a ceramics workshop on Saturday and already 5 people have signed up, 4 of them brand new.
During the meeting, most of the conversations revolved around cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, with those about the KBK system being particularly interesting to me. It turned out to be extremely inspiring for our Silesian guests and there is a chance that they will implement it at their premises to some extent. I myself have been thinking about it a lot recently in connection with the Value Plan support. Well, the system in itself guarantees nothing, it is not a miraculous means to maintain a non-commercial site. But combined with regular support, it can work wonders. The effects can be seen with the naked eye.
I will conclude with statistics. 15 people attended (including from Hive: @ania-es, @deepresearch, @grigorijj, @hallmann, @kesilgonzalez, @mynewlife and a few undisclosed). In total, we ordered and ate 3 pizzas, on which we spent 52,043 HBD or 0.00072653 BTC.
