Desde hace unos años tengo una genial máquina de coser que me regaló mi madre antes de morir. Ella sabía que me encanta coser en tela y tejer en crochet.

Tengo 4 acures o conejillos de indias, tres son hijos de mis mascotas iníciales ¡Curí y Álvaro! Mi nena murió hace unos meses y dejó tres bendiciones, que nos dio mucho dolor regalar. Ha sido fuerte mantener a estas 4 mascotas, pero en casa, a pesar del espacio ¡Estamos haciendo lo posible!

Para la elaboración de las 3 camas he usado una lámina de goma espuma, alguna tela de ropa usada que tenía en casa y loneta impermeable. El tamaño iba a depender del cuerpo de cada mascota, por ejemplo, Álvaro, el macho alfa es grande y grueso, debe pesar más de un Kg. Por eso usé dos láminas de goma espuma de 30 cm de largo y 25 de ancho.
To make the 3 beds I used a sheet of foam rubber, some fabric from used clothes I had at home and waterproof canvas. Cosí ambas telas como si fuera a hacer un sobre. Cuidando que las partes externas quedaran bien ordenadas para que a la hora de voltearlas mostraran su hermoso diseño. Dejando algunos milímetros, procedí a coser y dejar unos de los lados abiertos para incorporar la goma espuma. Al terminar volteé las telas e hice la incorporación de la goma.
I sewed both fabrics as if I were going to make an envelope. Taking care that the external parts were well ordered so that when it was time to turn them over they would show their beautiful design. Leaving a few millimeters, I proceeded to sew and leave some of the sides open to incorporate the foam rubber. When finished, I flipped the fabrics over and incorporated the rubber.
Las camas de los machos fueron selladas para evitar el frio, para ello recorté un circulo de tela en algodón que me permitiría coser alrededor de las puntas. De esta manera quedó una especie de cilindro o tubo. Para finalizar uní las puntas de ambas telas y la cama estaba terminada.
The beds of the males were sealed to avoid the cold, for this I cut a circle of cotton fabric that would allow me to sew around the ends. In this way it was a kind of cylinder or tube. Finally I joined the ends of both fabrics and the bed was finished.
Ambos machos de una vez entraron a sus casas ¡Les encanto! Y Álvaro, el más grande no quiso salir para tomar la foto. La cama de las hembras no se cerró, pues ambas deben tener acceso. Los colores y la comodidad son las principales características de esta creación que ¡Me encantó realizar!
