Hallwyl Castle, one of the most beautiful water castles in Switzerland, is located at the outflow of Lake Hallwil in the Valley of Aargau in Switzerland. It was built in the 12th century and was owned by the von Hallwyl family until the 20th century.
The imposing castle complex covers three small islands.
In the exhibitions inside is documented about the building and family history.
