First of all, the Dom Luís I bridge, with its wonderful view of the city, is located in the heart of Porto and is one of the city's six bridges. It connects the busy old town district of Ribeira with the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, which is particularly famous for its many Porto wines.
The bridge offers a breathtaking view of the stunning beauty of Porto on both sides over the Douro River with its colorful boats, the multi-level colorfuly plains of the old town and Porto's traditional Porto wine warehouses.
The bridge is around 385 m long and around 60 m high, very dizzying up there.
at once but beautiful.
The bridge is named in honor of King Dom Luís I, who at the time of its construction was reigning, in the city.
