En noviembre del 2014 con mi familia fuimos a Cancún, México. Es una ciudad netamente turística llena de hoteles y resorts a la orilla de la playa, también hay varios malls/centros comerciales muy bonitos. Nosotros nos alojamos en el hotel Barcelo Costa Cancún.
Back in 2014 my Family and I took a short trip to Cancun, México. It's a city full of hotels and resorts near the beach, there are a lots of malls too. We stayed at the Barcelo Costa Cancun.
Lo mejor de este viaje fue haber ido cerca de la festividad del día de muertos, las personas hacen altares para honrar con ofrendas a sus familiares ya fallecidos. Las ofrendas varían, entre platos de comida que le gustaban a esa persona, calaveras de azúcar, pan de muerto (es delicioso). También se estila poner fotos de las personas fallecidas. Anexo algunas fotos.
The coolest thing of this trip was that we traveled between the first days of november and the first days of october, so there was the 'día de los muertos' (Day of the deaths) celebrations. People make altars honoring their beloved ones who already pases away. These altars have food and liquors that were the favorites of the people being honored, they also include sugar skills and pan de muerto (bread of dead).
Otra cosa que disfrutamos mucho de este viaje fue la gastronomia de México, probar los platos que ya conocemos como lo tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas y conocer nuevos como las carnitas fue muy gratificante. También pudimos degustar los licores como el tequila, el mezcal y las coronitas. Y por supuesto aprovechamos de ir a Starbucks, ya que lastimosamente en Venezuela no hay.
Another thing we enjoyed a lot was tasting real mexican food, tasting dishes we already knew like tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas and getting to know new ones like carnitas. We also taste some alcoholic drinks like tequila, mezcal and coronitas (beer). And of course we drank lots of Starbucks drinks because unfortunately we dont have Starbucks in Venezuela.
Cancún también es famoso por su vida nocturna, la discoteca más importante se llama Mr Frog, otra cosa para mencionar es que Cancún cuenta con Hard Rock.
Cancun is also famous because of its nocturnal, for years the most important disco has been Mr Frog and for those fans of hard rock (like me) Cancun has one too.
