Let's Go Fishing ~ Original Kingfisher Hive Banner Artwork

in GEMS4 years ago

Today's Art Banner started off as something simple, after seeing some Kingfisher photos on Twitter. However, it just seemed to get more complex when I began to colour it. Then I just got over obsessed with my "Oil Paint" filters. The natural curves and waves from the various filter settings made the final result look really feathery. Kind of perfect for a bird image in my opinion.

See what you think! I tried doing some different Hive Logo versions, but the others did not look right somehow. So just one version Today, but impressive I think...

Let's go fishing... 🎣 The Kingfisher bird is an expert fisherman 😀

It all started here, with a very rough digital brush sketch...

Some initial base colour bucket filling.

The eye was then added as an overlay.

Next some different brushes used with smudge effect, and Oil Painted several times.

Finally, The Hive Logo and some Text was added in my Shutterstock Editor Account.

So that's it, quite a long process really in the end.

All of the above Digitally Filtered Artwork was created by me.
