Oh weekend! Do you have plans to have dinner with your family or loved ones?
At dinner, it is fun to have a sweet dessert while chatting about fun things that can warm the atmosphere.
Afraid not have time and not have simple ways to make dinner cake? Relax, now you are on the right blog to prepare a super simple dinner cake. You still don't believe it?
Let's get started.
I named this cake with baked cereal cake. It is made from instant cereal which is usually served for breakfast.
Even though I'm using the baking method here, you can also replace that method with the steaming method.
Everything we need
- 50 grams of instant ready-to-brew cereal, or about 2 sachets of chocolate-flavored instant cereal.
- 100 ml of milk
- 5 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- One teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- One teaspoon of baking powder
Optional
Toppings, using roasted beans, or choco chips, or cheese. Here I am using the roasted peanut.
How to cook
- Mix the dry ingredients first. You can use a mug directly or mix the ingredients in a general bowl before using the cake mold.
- After mixing the cereal, baking powder, and cinnamon, add milk and mix well.
- Once well blended, add one tablespoon of vegetable oil, then mix again.
- Then transfer it to the cake mold. Add the topping, then bake at 185 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove and serve.
The taste was unexpectedly delicious. You would never think this is made from the cereal that is usually served at breakfast.
This recipe is worth trying and this a cake idea is your treat for your Saturday night or weekend.
You can also make it for yourself. At least it will make your night better even though you can't be with special people because of the lockdown period in the corona pandemic.
I love this super simple cake for it doesn't taste too sweet and uses ingredients that are there for my breakfast stock.
The cake smelled fresh from the oven, it was like an expensive cake in the store. Trust me, it will save you money.

Well this certainly is a novel and very inventive recipe, must be quite nourishing and healthier than regular cake as well! Definitely want to try making them.
