Why do weekends fly by so quickly? Why can't they last as long as a work week?
Yes, the weekend passed quickly. I didn't even finish writing this post yesterday. I started writing it on Sunday morning, continued it in the evening, but couldn't finish it. There were reasons for this.
A lot of things happened over the weekend.
On Saturday morning, my wife and I took a six-kilometer walk, because the weather was favorable for this, which is not true for Sunday morning. Sunday morning met us with a snowstorm. This upset me very much.
Why? Because my daughter and her boyfriend decided to come to our house from Moscow. This is 1000 kilometers of travel. They had to drive in a snowstorm sometimes on a very bad road.
On Saturday, Moscow authorities announced increased measures against the spread of the coronavirus. The daughter has been sitting at home on self-isolation since March 9. She went to Vienna in early March, so her employer decided it was better for her to work from home rather than go to the office.
We offered our daughter to come to our house, but they had the hope that the self-isolation would not last long. Their hopes were not fulfilled.
Yesterday at 6 am, the guys left Moscow in their car and were at our house by 10 PM. My wife and I are happy that our daughter and her boyfriend have come to us. My mother and younger daughter are also happy. The only thing that bothers us is the reason for their arrival - the coronavirus.

Да, выходные пролетели быстро. Я даже не успел дописать этот пост вчера. Я начал его утром, продолжил вечером, но не закончил. На это был ряд причин.
Очень много произошло событий за эти выходные дни.
В субботу утром я с женой совершил шестикилометровую прогулку, благо погода к этому располагала, чего не скажешь про воскресное утро. Утро воскресенья встретило нас метелью. Это меня расстроило сильно.
Почему? Потому что моя дочь с ее другом решили приехать к нам домой из Москвы. Это 1000 километров пути. Им пришлось ехать в метель иногда по очень плохой дороге.
В субботу московские власти объявили об усилении мер против распространения коронавируса. Дочь сидит дома на самоизоляции уже с 9 марта. Она тогда ездила в Вену и её работодатель решили, что ей лучше работать по удаленке, а не ходить в офис. Мы предлагали ей приехать к нам домой, но у них была надежда, что самоизоляция продлится недолго. Надежды не оправдались.
Вчера в 6 утра ребята выехали из Москвы на своей машине и были у нас дома к 10 часам вечера. Мы с женой рады, что дочь с другом приехали к нам. Так же рада и моя мама и младшая дочь. Нас огорчает лишь причина их приезда - коронавирус.

This tree broke down 4 years ago and is slowly beginning to completely collapse.
Это дерево сломалось 4 года назад и потихоньку начинает полностью разрушаться.
I hope this week will be better than last week. At least in terms of warm weather. It's time to change the tires on the car from winter to summer.
Надеюсь, что эта неделя станет лучше прошлой. Хотя бы в плане тёплой погоды. Пора уже и резину поменять на автомобиле с зимней на летнюю.
