El sistema Venturi forma parte de la oxigenoterapia perteneciendo así mismo a los dispositivos de alto flujo, es por esto que es importante tener un correcto conocimiento de cómo se abarca éste dispositivo para su buen funcionamiento.
The Venturi system is part of oxygen therapy, also belonging to high-flow devices, which is why it is important to have a correct knowledge of how this device is covered for its proper functioning.
El sistema Venturi nos permite controlar la fracción inspirada de oxígeno que queremos administrar en un paciente, esto se hace con el fin de evitar la hipoxemia y otras complicaciones por desaturación de oxígeno.
The Venturi system allows us to control the inspired fraction of oxygen that we want to administer in a patient, this is done in order to avoid hypoxemia and other complications due to oxygen desaturation.
El sistema Venturi es un pequeño dispositivo el cual viene en presentación de diferentes colores de acuerdo al porcentaje que represente, de ésta manera permite ajustar la FiO2 deseada. Además cómo personal de enfermería debemos de ajustar el flujómetro a la cantidad de litros por minutos que corresponde de acuerdo a el sistema Venturi que se desea administrar.
The Venturi system is a small device which comes in different colors according to the percentage it represents, in this way it allows to adjust the desired FiO2. In addition, as nursing personnel, we must adjust the flowmeter to the amount of liters per minute that corresponds according to the Venturi system that you want to administer.
El Venturi no puede ser inferior a 21% por eso de ésta manera existen solo sistemas al 24, 28, 31, 35, 40 y 50%. Es una oxigenación seca y puede ser administrada a cualquier tipo de paciente.
The Venturi cannot be less than 21%, so in this way there are only systems at 24, 28, 31, 35, 40 and 50%. It is a dry oxygenation and can be administered to any type of patient.
Cómo personal de enfermería es importante mantener unos correctos cuidados al momento de aplicar éste procedimiento ante cualquier paciente dentro del servicio.
