So... I got a Gold Foil Legendary in my alt account (lazybug) someday before.
It was from a daily quest with only 6 loot. I became more than happy seeing a worthy card in my collection after a long time.
THE KRAKEN

I was normally claiming the reward from daily quest and was thinking "No goodie nowadays, splinterlands is not interested anymore".
Yeah I was really thinking something like this.
Then I claimed the daily quest reward and while pressing on those loots, suddenly I saw the card floating and it made me sure that I was gonna get a legendary card.
Then the card appeared and somehow it got the gold foil on it and I was like "Alhamdulillah, I got a GFL (gold foil legendary)... whoo".
It's lowest market price was around 42$ at that time.
And its burn rate was 75K DEC.
I thought of burning the card for DEC and then I wished to play a match with this card (I normally don't play matches with high-cost cards).
Then I played a match where I've seen its ability (in LIVE).
The battles mana cap was 36 with "Reversed Speed & Healed Out" Rules.
Both of us used dragon splinter in this battle.

My Lineup.
I had my Kraken in level 2 (GFL), Manticore in level 3, Prismatic Energy in level 4, serpentine Mystic in level 4, Elven Cutthroat in level 5 & Cocatrice in level 3.
It was my setup.
And my opponent had all his cards (Furious Chicken, Prismatic Energy, Spirit Miner, Serpentine Mystic, Goblin Shaman & Naga Fire Wizard) in level 1.
I think I was lucky enough to get an opponent with all his cards In level 1 while I was in Diamond (3) League.
This match was all about playing with the GFL (gold foil legendary) and my GFL did nice although not the best.
Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.
Summoner: DARIA DRAGONSCALE (EPIC Dragon Summoner)
Daria is the only Gloridax summoner who is also a member of the elite Dragonsguard. Not only is she trained to summon the largest and fiercest Dragons, but she is herself proficient in all the arts of war. Daria is clever, quick, and beautiful. Though she carries the purest Fire Blood, she refuses to take a mate - Source.
My DARIA DRAGONSCALE is in level 3 and he offers +1 melee attack to my monsters.
She needs 4 mana.

My KRAKEN was in level 2 with 4 melee attack, 4 speed, 3 Shield & 14 health with "Taunt & Demoralize" ability.
It needed 12 mana.

No 02: Manticore (Epic Dragon Monster)
Another product of the twisted genetic experiments of the Gloridax is on the loose. The hybrid monster known as the Manticore is a cross between a Dragon, a Lion, a scorpion, and countless other monstrosities from which it draws its powers. Except when summoned to battle, the Manticore answers to no one. Source

No 03: Prismatic Energy (Rare Neutral Monster)
A Gloridax experiment gone awry has resulted in a blinding Prismatic Energy loose in the Splinterlands. The Gloridax news briefs have assured the public that there is only one Prism on the loose, but the mysterious Energy moves fast, leaving a wake of magical destruction wherever it goes. Source
My Prismatic Energy is in level 6 with 2 magic attack, 5 speed, 10 health with "Magic Reflect & Void" ability.

No 04: SERPENTINE MYSTIC (RARE Dragon Monster)
For the bodyguards of the most important figures of the United Gloridax, Serpentine Mystics are brought in from the southern Burning Lands. In the lands of their home, the mind magic of these Serpentines is forbidden. In Draykh-Nahka however, they are given fancy quarters, exotic meats and allowed to mingle with Dragons. Plus, their magic is not only encouraged, but put to great use by the Gloridax High Council - Source.
My SERPENTINE MYSTIC is in level 4 with 1 magic attack, 2 speed, 5 health with "Affliction" ability.

No 05: Elven Cutthroat (Common Neutral Monster)
Elves can be found living in many of the forests of the Splinterlands. They live in the trees, but come down often to collect resources from the forest floor. Though the elves are small and beautiful, they always have a seemingly endless supply of concealed knives, with which they are deadly accurate. Source.
My Elven Cutthroat is in level 5 with 2 melee attack, 4 speed, 3 health with "Sneak" ability.

No 06: COCATRICE (RARE Neutral Monster)
While most Dragons live in Draykh-Nahka, the little miscreant known as Cocatrice can be found pretty much anywhere in the Splinterlands. Their favorite activity seems to be wrecking markets by night. In battle, they are annoyingly difficult to hit, and they never stop squawking - Source.
My Cocatrice is in level 3 with 1 melee attack, 4 speed, 3 health with "Flying" ability.
It needs 2 mana.
