A Day in Agra
Once the capital city of Mugal Empire is a city on the banks of River Yamuna. Founded by Sultan Sikandar of Lodi Dynasty.
City of Agra is very well known to all because of Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world.
So, here is my virtual visit to Agra.
My hometown is Meerut but I live in Greater Noida and it is just 200 Kms from my place. I took Yamuna Expressway and reached Agra in two and a half hour.
I parked my car in the parking lot and walked all the way to Taj Mahal.

The moment you cross that huge gateway we get to see the white marble marvel standing tall in the horizon.
Taj Mahal is a Mausoleum made by Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz. That is why Taj Mahal is also considered to be a symbol of love.

It is said that the garden leading to the tomb, is a design of garden of heaven.

After Taj Mahal I took a horse cart to Agra fort also known as the Red fort, which was built by Akbar.
It is said that the son of Shah Jahan (who built Taj Mahal), Aurangzeb imprisoned his father in the Red Fort for a period of 8 years and there he took his last breath.

Well this was my day well spent in Agra and witnessed some amazing architectural marvels.
