Recently, I was visiting the vicinity of the Alejandro Otero Museum of Visual Arts, located about 15 kilometers south of the center of the city of Caracas, in the La Rinconada sector, a remote but busy area, where the terminal stations of the railway and metro and stands out for its other great cultural attractions such as the Hippodrome, the Poliedro de Caracas and the new Monumental Stadium of Caracas.
Opened in 1990, the museum pays tribute to the prominent Venezuelan artist and master of kinetic art, Alejandro Otero. Otero's works are quite well known in our country, as they have a wide presence in numerous museums, public and private spaces in the country.
Although I was not able to enter some of the seven rooms of the museum, which was closed to the public because it was Monday, I was able to appreciate its imposing and harmonious modern architecture, characterized by a pyramidal structure on the main façade.
Although my visit was brief, since I was in the company of @escriptora, who was very excited to be turning in her participation in a group collage exhibition, it allowed me to rediscover this important cultural center, which I know houses a great collection of kinetic art, as well as a documentation center specialized in contemporary art and op art.
So soon I hope to return, this time to celebrate the start of the exhibition in which my proud beloved is a participant. I am sure that this will be an excellent opportunity to fully explore the entire space, which is also one of the main artistic venues in the south of the city.

Museo Alejandro Otero, Preliminares.
Recientemente, estuve de visita por las inmediaciones del Museo de Artes Visuales Alejandro Otero, ubicado a unos 15 kilómetros al sur del centro de la ciudad de Caracas, en el sector La Rinconada, alejada, pero concurrida zona, donde también queda las estaciones terminales del ferrocarril y metro y destaca por sus otros grandes atractivos culturales como lo son el Hipódromo, el Poliedro de Caracas y el nuevo Estadio Monumental de Caracas.
Inaugurado en 1990, el museo rinde homenaje al destacado artista venezolano y maestro del arte cinético, Alejandro Otero. Las obras de Otero son bastante conocidas en nuestro país, ya que tienen una amplia presencia en numerosos museos, espacios públicos y privados del país.
Si bien no pude ingresar a algunas de las siete salas del museo, que por ser lunes se encontraba cerrado al público, pude apreciar su imponente y armónica arquitectura moderna, caracterizada por una estructura piramidal en la fachada principal.
Aunque mi visita fue breve, ya que fui en compañía de @escriptora, quien estaba muy emocionada por estar entregando su participación en una exposición colectiva de collage, me permitió redescubrir este importante centro cultural, que sé que alberga una gran colección de arte cinético, así como un centro de documentación especializado en arte contemporáneo y op art.
Así que próximamente espero volver, esta vez para celebrar el inicio de la exposición de la cual mi orgullosa amada es participante. Estoy seguro que esa será una excelente oportunidad para explorar a fondo todo el espacio que además es uno de los principales lugares artísticos del sur de la ciudad.
