Lima no es gris / Lima is not gray

Usualmente cuando viajamos nos preocupamos por buscar y escuchar recomendaciones de los posibles sitios que vamos a visitar, y algunas veces nos repiten tanto algunas cosas que de alguna forma acudimos con cierta predisposición a ese lugar que parcialmente ya hemos construido en nuestra mente, con fotografías y recuerdos de terceros.

Usually when we travel we worry about looking for and listening to recommendations of the possible places that we are going to visit, and sometimes some things are repeated to us so much that in some way we go with a certain predisposition to that place that we have specifically built in our minds, with photographs and third party memories.

Personalmente me gusta informarme mucho sobre los lugares que pienso recorrer para entender bien su contexto social y no pasar por alto algunos sitios imprescindibles, pero también reservo mi tiempo para explorar libre y azarosamente sus rincones y no paro de sorprenderme al encontrar conexiones no tan casuales, que siempre dejan algo que contar.

Personally, I like to inform myself a lot about the places I plan to visit in order to fully understand their social context and not overlook some essential places, but I also reserve my time to explore their corners freely and randomly, and I never cease to be surprised to find not-so-casual connections, they always leave something to tell.

A city marked by its gray tones and its homogeneous light, The sun of the Pacific Ocean, immense and mysterious, offered me its evening light in an almost rebellious gesture, to remind me once again that Lima is not always gray.
