Loneliness/ Soledad

There is something that I have noticed in the cities of Carora and Coro when I visited their respective historic quarters, probably the ones with the greatest colonial architectural value in the west of our country.

I found it curious that despite the good state of preservation and cobbled streets with picturesque colors, which also provided a warm evening atmosphere to those old transits, apparently these passages are left alone in the afternoons.

For this reason, it is very common to find streets completely without people on their sidewalks, with a silence that contrasts a little with the demonym and spirit of the locals.

Probably one of the most obvious reasons is that the commercial volume was moving and spreading over time to other areas of these cities.

Leaving those streets resounding timidly in the echo of their old stories in the light of the sun that hides in the west

Soledad

What beautiful pictures of Carora... How charming how the colonial area has been preserved.... It certainly looks lonely, but it's a fascinating solitude, especially for these photos which have turned out supreme my friend @astrolabio!

Looking at this post reminded me of the time of COVID when the streets are ghostly-silent, the silence such that we can hear the burbling of water from the shore. Cities were so silent that one can only hear the noise of sirane of the ambulance . Sometimes loneliness acts as a pointed shap knife that slowly enters our body. A lonely city hides a lot of history, some of which are heard and some are left and forgotten

I very much agree with you, silent towns hide a lot to say, these photographs are two years before the start of the Pandemic in my country, but the mood is similar! best regards!!
