From time immemorial, in those curious times, it was customary to organize large gatherings and pompous dances in honor of various motifs.
Era entonces, durante este tipo de actividades recreativas multitudinarias, donde se dejaba ver la marcada diferenciación entre las diferentes clases sociales.
It was then, during this type of multitudinous recreational activities, that the marked differentiation between the different social classes became apparent.
Tal vez, como bien se puede decir que también ocurre de cierta forma en nuestros días, las actitudes de las féminas y su apariencia física ostentan rasgos que son tomados como referencia para determinar el estrato social al que pertenecen.

Dejando de lado todas las connotaciones machistas que suelen atribuirse hoy en día a esta moda letal, es un hecho innegable que las crinolinas tuvieron un gran impacto en la sociedad durante el siglo XIX.
Leaving aside all the macho connotations that are often attributed today to this lethal fashion, it is an undeniable fact that crinolines had a great impact on society during the 19th century.
Sirvieron en un principio como un poderoso y efectivo símbolo de estatus social, logrando más tarde llegar al resto de la población convirtiéndose así en un símbolo de carácter universal.
They served at first as a powerful and effective symbol of social status, later reaching the rest of the population and becoming a universal symbol.
Tal circunstancia permitió a mujeres de clase más baja destacar, en una aparente igual de condiciones estéticas, junto otras mujeres de mejor posición.
