In Russia, this time is called the Indian summer. It is still warm and sunny enough, there are a lot of mushrooms and berries in the forest, autumn gold has not yet flown from the branches and crowns of trees.
There was no sun that day, but it was warm and clear enough. We had to get to one shop and we chose a long road through Ozerki. This is the name of a small area of St. Petersburg next to which I live.
В России эту пору называют бабьим летом. Ещё достаточно тепло и солнечно, в лесу много грибов и ягод, осеннее золото ещё не облетело с ветвей и крон деревьев.
В этот день солнца не было, но было достаточно тепло и ясно. Нам нужно было дойти до одного магазинчика и мы выбрали длинную дорогу через Озерки. Так называется небольшой район Санкт-Петербурга рядом с которым я живу.
The vine leaves on the fence were the brightest witnesses of autumn. The grapes ... yeah, they just weren't there. Maybe it is an ornamental grape, maybe there is not enough heat in the northern city. But the carved leaves were great.
Листья винограда на заборе были самыми яркими свидетелями осени. Плоды винограда...да, их просто не было. Может быть это декоративный виноград, может быть в северном городе недостаточно тепла. Но резные листья были великолепны.
Some trees are in no hurry to surrender to the grace of autumn.
Некоторые деревья не спешат сдаваться на милость осени.
And yet ... everything has its time.
It is especially calm in the forest among the trees. No summer bustle. Time for reflection and rest.
И всё же...всему своё время.
В лесу среди деревьев сейчас особенно спокойно. Нет летней суеты. Время размышлений и отдыха.
